Ruffle skirt

Find the instructions here. Super easy!! I love it. My first time I've made clothes that I will actually wear.

T-shirt & quilt

T-shirt to peasant top refashion with elastic thread. Before- plain t-shirt that's too big.
After- I cut a little too much from the top to stay modest, took a lot off the bottom & sides. You just need elastic thread. Super easy after I figured that my sewing machine couldn't do the stitch. Electronic machines don't do elastic thread. Darn it, just gave away my old machine. I'll do more of these with all my shirts I never wear cause they don't fit.
My first free motion quilt. I messed up on one side. You can see where my fingers can go under the edge. Whoops. But it turned out well other than that side.
All my crazy lines.

Lounge Pants

Tessa is learning to sew. She made some great jama pants for herself & sisters. I made some for the boys. They were super duper easy. I mean it. Anyone can do these.
Here is the tutorial we used.

Cake pops

I saw these online. Super cute.
Of course I had to try them even though
I knew they wouldn't turn out as well as hers at bakerella.
They were tasty.

A little messy.

I forgot to take pics of the finished product.
I made plain green ones cause that's what was on clearance at Wal Mart.
But they were enjoyed at Nate's nursery for his bday.

Homemade Christmas 2009

To help me keep track of the things I do each year, I'm gonna post some stuff I made for Christmas gifts this year. I tried to make something homemade for everyone.

Some monogrammed letter towels. I kinda wish I had used a different font for the "H" but I was doing them about an hour before I gifted them. So straight was the easiest & fastest route.

I made some scarves for my SIL girlies. Here are 3, I forgot to take pics of the 3 before I sent them out. They are made with that fun fur. Tip, don't buy it at craft stores. Keep an eye out for them at the Dollar Stores.

Some more name towels. The stitching gets easier as you go.

Something like my 5th batch of necklaces. They are just too much fun. This is the website I liked for instructions.
A quilt I made for my Mom. It's HUGE. It is also the most complicated thing I think I have ever made. I'm super scared to quilt it. I finished the top a good 3 or 4 months ago. I want to free motion quilt it, but need to practice on another one first. Wish me luck!

Some cute stuff

Table runners sound like fun. I would love to decorate my table, but it gets destroyed at least 4 times a day. Seems like a lot of work. But a runner, especially if I can toss it in the wash. Again, wanting one for every holiday. Instructions.

Garland. I want some for every occasion.
Great for everyday hanging. Magnetic instructions.
Hello! Gorgeous. Tutorial here.
I so want to do one of these. But picking a picture is hard.

My Christmas wish list

These things are super adorable. I've seen pumpkins also. I WILL do these next year.

Super cute bag.

Great things. Tiny totes.
Below was my try. Next time I will use ribbon for handles.
I LU-o-VE these. See it here.

Raw Edge Circle Quilt
